«Your Shame Not Mine» is a work that is meant to stand as a parole. Our society is very fixed and prescribes to women how they have to behave and present themselves. Not to forget that we were all socialised in a patriarchal society.

With «Your Shame Not Mine» I show women who are comfortable in their bodies. They are naked, nipples* can be seen and yet they have nothing to do with sexuality*.

Shame is returned to the viewer here. It is not the task of the portrayed nor of the photographer to make themselves responsible for how society feels. No more.

*Apart from the fact that female nipples contribute more often to the preservation of our species, they hardly differ from male ones. An erogenous zone for all who have one.

*This was the main aim of this work: aesthetic, but not sexual. This becomes clear when you look at the different postures throughout the collection. The protagonists are women in all shapes and stages of life. They are comfortably warm, content with themselves. Inside, not outside.
