«Being Young in Europe: Dreams, Realities, and Perspectives»

The goal of my journey was to gain insight into Generation Z across different countries. In collaboration with the Office of Foreign Affairs, I chose to visit Liechtenstein, Armenia, Albania, and Sweden. Having already experienced many member states of the Council of Europe, this selection allowed me to fill knowledge gaps and understand the youth of these lesser-known countries.

I found that young people share a certain anxiety about the future, influenced by their varying circumstances. Sociocultural conflicts, ethnic oppression, and war significantly shape their realities. It was impactful to learn the stories and dreams of those I portrayed in such challenging contexts.

The notion that healthy societies depend on the well-being of their members reflects the idea that positive change begins from within. I aimed to capture these insights in my photographs, which have a unique ability to tell stories, evoke emotions, and generate empathy. They create awareness and help people connect with one another.

My work seeks to convey not only personal impressions of the diverse realities on the ground but also to promote understanding of other societies as a whole, building bridges of communication. Mutual understanding is essential for fostering respect, cohesion, and partnership in communities like the Council of Europe.
